Tapping into Scotland's talent
There are clear benefits for businesses involved in reducing economic inactivity amongst young people and adults. This is the conclusion of a recent study, Tapping into Scotland’s talent. The work was commissioned by Scottish Business in the Community (SBC) and sought the views and opinions of employers on the issue of employability and employer engagement.

The research findings are very positive and show that the majority of companies involved in employability initiatives reported unexpected business benefits extending to their existing staff, their company and ultimately their bottom line (such as winning new business and opening up new client streams). Furthermore, employers see a role for themselves in this agenda and are keen to engage with Government, schools and partner agencies to provide opportunities.
